About us
Naoko Otsuka is an Ecological Artist, mixed media art director, content producer, and co-founder of a 100% self-funded non-profit marine environment education outreach program for children and young adults.
When creating works of art for children and adolescents that address environmental challenges and ecological issues, we are always considering new methods to deliver our messages through art efficiently.
Our artwork is not intended for artistic recognition; it is designed to create artworks that resonate with young people's hearts and are immensely appealing at first glance.
We also reference studies conducted by neuroscientists to create visual resources that successfully activate the brain's long-term memory mechanism to create artwork that will have a long-lasting impact on children.
Upper River Outreach Strategy to Decrease Plastic Marine Debris
Our target approach for reducing marine debris is to stop the flow from the original location where they are being littered, from riverside towns and cities that are hundreds or sometimes thousands of miles inland from the ocean. This issue of discharging plastic waste into local rivers is happening in every country, independent of economic development or political ideologies. This is not an issue belonging to one country or one world area. We all take equal responsibility for marine debris.
Outreach through Art
Please see our associated website for further information, “Naoko-Art.com.”
Our ecological and environmental art project aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage children and young people to take action to nurture the natural world. We utilize many different art media to advocate for social, cultural, and political change to create a deeper connection between people and nature.
Why am I creating an abstract design for the ocean environment protection program for children?
It has generally been stated that abstract design, with unique figures that capture a child’s attention, can increase their curiosity and potentially improve their memory retention.
As an ecological artist, I’m creating many different abstract characters attached to the messages, which encourage children to think creatively and imagen broader interpretations, which can lead to deeper understanding and better memory retention of a lifetime.
A creative education
We have six outreach programs to learn about the beach ecosystem and marine debris. Please visit our learning platform with your children and young people to grow to love learning about marine environments. Other Projects of Naoko Art
How do we handle environmental issues with young people?
We address environmental issues with children through a variety of channels, including online educational programming, exhibits, and community engagement.
For example, provide interactive presentations and workshops that teach children about environmental issues such as conservation, sustainability, and the impact of climate change on the ocean ecosystem.
We also build and integrate hands-on activities and games on our website to make the learning experience more engaging for children at home, school, or community events to make our outreach initiatives more practical. We provide environmental education programs for schools and community organizations, and we may collaborate with organizations and professionals to generate instructional resources and materials.
